The Interdisciplinary Expert Forum
for Medicinal Cannabis.
Once a year in Paderborn. Expert lectures, GMP plant tour, and professional networking — for doctors, pharmacists, and nursing staff. Online attendance available.
In Brief
What is the Circle of Experts?
The Circle of Experts is a one-day expert forum on medicinal cannabis, hosted annually by Four 20 Pharma in Paderborn.
The program includes clinical expert lectures, a tour of the GMP production facility, and an open expert discussion.
The target audience consists exclusively of physicians, pharmacists, and nursing professionals. Participation is free of charge. Optionally, participants can register for the paid networking dinner after the event. CME credits will not be awarded.

Three Formats in One Day

Expert Lectures
Clinical practice insights from pain and palliative medicine, neurology, pharmacology, nursing, and pharmacy. Short slots, high practical relevance, with Q&A immediately following.

Expert Discussions
Moderated exchange between hospitals, medical practices, pharmacies, and nursing. Topics are collected in advance and prioritized collaboratively.

Networking
Clinic, practice, pharmacy, and nursing professionals specifically engage in conversation in small roundtables, deepen contacts from the day's program, and forge new connections.
Knowledge from daily practice
Therapeutic Safety
Latest information on mechanisms of action, interactions, and side effect profiles. Discussed based on clinical cases, not promotional materials.
Compounding & Supply
Practical knowledge on compounding, storage, controlled substance-compliant dispensing, and supply chains. With contributions from the Association of Cannabis-Supplying Pharmacies.
Patient Communication
Patient education, expectation management, interprofessional handover — what works in consultations, at the pharmacy counter, and in nursing.
Network
Direct access to pain physicians, neurologists, nursing experts, and dispensing pharmacies in the DACH region. Connections that last beyond the event.

The Circle of Experts is intentionally not yet a certification-required format; instead, the current focus is on direct professional exchange between disciplines. However, we are exploring options for accreditation in the future to be able to offer CME credits.
Participation in the expert program is free of charge — both in person and online. The networking dinner on the eve of the event can be optionally booked at a cost price of €42.
Via the registration form on this page. You will receive a confirmation email with all details immediately after submission. Approximately one week before the event, a short reminder with the program schedule will follow.
Yes. Lectures and expert discussions are broadcast live, and online participants can join the Q&A. The GMP factory tour is only available on-site.
The Circle of Experts is the only interdisciplinary expert forum on medicinal cannabis with an integrated factory tour of a GMP-certified production facility. Other cannabis training courses are usually purely academic or organized to be product-neutral. The Circle of Experts combines practical presentations with an insight into pharmaceutical quality assurance — without product advertising in the content.
Recurring focus areas include pain therapy, palliative medicine, neurological indications such as multiple sclerosis, Tourette's, and ADHD, as well as age-related pharmacokinetics. Pharmacy topics cover compounding, storage, and consultation. Nursing topics address daily care in palliative and geriatric settings. The exact focus areas vary from year to year.
Four 20 Pharma hosts the format as a German GMP-certified production company for medicinal cannabis. The presentation content is independently designed by the speakers; the organizer does not exert any influence on the content. Product advertising is excluded from the program.
The full-length presentations are reserved for participants. Currently, no short excerpts are published on the website. Afterwards, a highlight video with general impressions will also be released.
